Protect your privacy with Anonymizer

August 17, 2009

Have you ever wondered what information is being collected about you on the Internet? Websites use information about your surfing habits to invade your Internet privacy in many different ways. They look into your computer for private information, get your location from your IP address, put spyware on your computer, gather information about your email addresses, etc. Do you want to make it stop now?

I have been using Anonymizer for about a year now and have found their services to be top-of-the-line in quality and performance. They offer several ways to protect you while you surf the Internet.

Anonymizer Anonymous Surfing is a good way to start. This is their basic protection package. It will mask your IP address so websites cannot figure out your actual geographic location. No targeted advertising!

Do you wish you could have a disposable email address that you can use to respond to things like forum posts and Usenet posts? Anonymizer Nyms may be just what you are looking for. You can create disposable email addresses that will secretly link to the target email address of your choice. When you are finished using the email address or it starts to collect SPAM all you need to do is  just disable the address. No more SPAM!

For the ultimate in protection Anonymizer’s Total Net Shield is the only way to go! Total Net Shield offers the strongest protection possible for web surfing, email, instant messaging, chat and more. This package utilizes SSL technology to protect you from all of the various treats on the Internet. You will not have to worry about your computer or your identity being compromised ever again! This is the package for those that wish to have the ultimate secure environment.

GoDaddy Internet Domain Service

June 22, 2009

Need a really great domain registrar at a affordable price? Look no further!

GoDaddy has been the web hosting choice for me for several years. The service has been great and downtime has been almost non-existent. The few times I’ve had to call customer service, the response was great and everyone I spoke with were very polite and knowledgeable. In addition to domain services GoDaddy also provides email services, domain auctions, SSL services, file storage, group calendaring, and a wide variety of other services. Access to email supports POP, IMAP and secure SMTP. A FAX to email service is also available with a seamless interface into the web-based email interface. Dedicated IP addresses are also available when you need to update your website quickly. Domain names can be searched and purchased immediately. The pricing is very competitive with other domain hosting services. I highly recommend GoDaddy as your one-stop shopping place for all of your Internet needs. I rate them as a 5 out of 5 service!

Runbox.Com Email and Webhosting Service

June 22, 2009

Hello Everyone!

In my search for a email/webhosting service that offers great email service with no advertising I came across a great website called Runbox.Com. It’s one of the best hosting services I’ve seen on the Web. The entire site looks very professional and well laid-out. Runbox offers advanced features that are only found on other hosting sites at a significantly greater price. Setting up your email account is a breeze! The default mailbox is 10 Gb in size and a 1 Gb file area is included. Runbox also offers free web-hosting at no additional cost. Unlike other hosting sites, Runbox allows file attachments up to 100 Mb in size. Access to email is provided through POP, IMAP, SMTP, and WAP. Of course email is accessible via your favorite web browser.

The cost of the service is $49.95 US per year with additional sub-accounts available at just $4.95 US per year.

A FREE 30-day trial is available and you can sign up for it here.

In my opinion, RunBox offers the best bang for the buck in email/webhosting services and I highly recommend it!
